Today we had to clear out a large quantity of build up inside a customer's gutters; this kind of job is often referred to as a Gutter Vacuum.
Throughout the job we were able to identify problem areas, where the most moss and debris end up and what areas are prone to large quantities of fluid build up. The fluid build up is important to note and pay attention to; gutters are supposed to protect homes from damp and if there is a build up, an overflow, etc. then that area of the house could suffer as a result.
The image above on the left-hand side shows a slightly higher part of the customer's roof where we needed to use over 30 feet of gutter vacuum pole in order to reach the blocked area of guttering.
The image in the middle shows a close up of one of the lower level gutter vacuuming parts of the job. This area had a large amount of liquid to remove and some larger pieces of moss that were obviously causing some blockages.
The final image on the right-hand side shows how much was collected halfway through this job. The waste consisted of moss, debris, weeds, algae and fluid that had built up and caused blockages.
The pain points were highlighted so that now our customer is more aware of them and the annual gutter vacuum has been put in the diary.
The customer is very pleased with this annual gutter vacuum job and was very pleased when they saw how much was actually removed from their gutters.
